Jonathan Bournigal Read

In 2013, Jonathan took on the role as Founder and Managing Partner of Carabela Platform Services, which began as the first Search Fund in the Dominican Republic.

In addition to his duties at Carabela, Jonathan is a member of the Board of Directors of Banco de Ahorro & Crédito Confisa and Vice President of the Board of the Punta Bergantín Innovation Hub.

Jonathan's past roles include Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs (2020-2022), Investment Banking Associate at Citi (2007-2011), and member of the boards of directors of Padilla (2017-2021), National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (2016-2020), i-SIGMA (2018-2020), Enlaces (2013-2019) and Alaska Business Group (2014-2016).

Jonathan received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Babson College with Summa Cum Laude distinction.
